Associate Director, Enterprise Information Management and Architecture

The Associate Director, Enterprise Information Management and Architecture is responsible for the management and integrity of the data within the organization, ensuring its availability and accessibility through a scalable storage and computer platform. This role oversees the architecture and manages the infrastructure required to deliver a secure environment of quality information, complying with regulatory, compliance, and governance policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position is in our Raleigh, NC office.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in data management.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in application and database development.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in big data (e.g., Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Apache Spark).
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cloud-based solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
    • Master-, Reference-, and Meta- Data Management experience a plus.
    • Medical industry is a must, pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience working in a Data Quality & Data Governance program a plus.
    • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
    • Programming experience in multiple languages (e.g., Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
    • Database Development: SQL Programming, RDMS design.
    • Experience with leveraging REST Services a plus.
    • Database Administration experience a plus.
    • Cloud technologies (e.g., Infrastructure-, Platform-, and Software- as a Service).
    • Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize multiple objectives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manages a data platform (e.g., an Enterprise Data Warehouse) that supports the Company’s operational and analytic needs: housing prescription, managed care, coupon redemption, prescriber data, and other data assets.
  • Oversees the architecture and design of the Data and Analytics platform, ensuring scalability of both storage and computer capabilities.
  • Provide training and education to mature analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Improve data quality through the implementation of required solutions, (e.g., Master-, Reference-, and Meta- Data Management).
  • Manage a data quality improvement initiative, in collaboration with other business units, which leverages a Data Quality Framework for measuring, monitoring, and reporting quality.
  • Manages a Data Ingestion Framework for Data Lifecycle Management, which includes the on-board, use, archival, and destruction of data.
  • Work closely with outside vendors when required.
  • Support the Executive Director, IT with all necessary presentations and reports around data.
