Executive Director, Marketing

The Executive Director, Marketing is responsible for the successful development, management, and implementation of marketing strategies and objectives for Movantik®.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is required.  Master of Business Administration preferred, but not required. Strong preference for prior experience in gastroenterology and undergraduate degree in biology. 

A minimum of 8 years’ experience in marketing leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong track record of demonstrated accomplishments while driving innovative business strategies.  

Demonstrated consumer digital marketing experience and know-how. Demonstrated ability to coordinate large, disparate teams and execute according to plan. Demonstrated ability to succeed in a small, fast growing environment. Successful history of developing teams by engagement through coaching and executing individual development plans. Demonstrated proficiency with digital media. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and workload planning skills. Able to communicate verbally using correct English, grammar, proper technical terminology. Physically able to perform all job duties which necessitates. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to effectively develop Excel, Word and PowerPoint documents.  

Strong capabilities in developing and managing effective working relationship with senior leadership and external parties. Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity and lead teams through complex and challenging cross-functional projects. Travel of up to 30% may be required.    

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the overall brand strategy for Movantik.  

Hire, lead and manage brand team personnel for Movantik.  

Lead the effective transition of Movantik from Astra Zeneca, including maintenance and rationalization of all agency relationships and initiatives including conventions, market research, advisory boards, medical education programs, opinion leader relationships, etc.  

Develop and deploy US strategies to achieve financial and market share goals with current and future indications for Movantik.  

Forecast and manage the annual marketing budget for Movantik. 

Integrate with Sales Leadership, Sales Training, Sales Operations and Business Insights Teams as well as other brand teams and functional groups.   

Provide support to JSC team in managing of commercial relationships and reporting needs with licensing partners for Movantik.  

Provide support to the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process for Movantik.  

Lead the annual marketing plan process for Movantik.  

Lead development of monthly business reviews for Movantik.  

Provide input into external communications developed in conjunction with Finance and Investor Relations teams. 

Coordinate with Executive Director, Commercial Learning and Sales Operations, to ensure effective remote engagement and sales training capabilities exist to support the brand. 

Build a best in class US marketing organization to become a respected leader in the pharmaceutical industry while cultivating an inclusive high-performance environment that values and leverages diversity.
