National Sales Director (West)

The National Sales Director-West is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies while leading national sales team members to achieve all company revenue goals and national/area sales goals. Motivates and develops all members on the Sales Force such as Regional/District Sales Managers, Territory Consultants, and other positions within the sales force umbrella. Coaches and assists Regional/District Sales Managers to hire, develop, and advance all Territory Consultants to achieve all individual, team and national goals.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • The person hired for this role will be required to reside in the western part of the US, preferably in CA, TX, or AZ.
  • Successful track record as a Regional Sales Manager. Experience as a National Sales Director is preferred. 
  • Experience hiring and managing a high-performance sales team.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Travel of up to 50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of Regional/District Sales Managers.
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing field sales strategies; analyzing trends and results.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions, districts and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing, new, potential future, and pipeline products.
  • Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
  • Works with the Marketing Department and product development to ensure brand consistency.
  • Works with Sales Operations to develop, implement, and maintain sales budget that may include: Speaker Programs, HCP in-service meals, conference attendance, and any other spend needs. Tracks ROI as appropriate.
  • Works with Sales Training to maximize utilization of all sales tools which may include: CRM, IQVia, 3PL, and Concur.
